Outlander PHEV Drive
Ready for anything
The Outlander PHEV has all the benefits you'd expect from an SUV: a high driving position and high ground clearance, so it copes equally well with bumpy roads or uneven terrain. It offers powerful acceleration and responsive roadholding, as well as a roomy cabin and generous luggage space. The Outlander PHEV also comes with a practical 1.5t towing capacity.
twin electric motors
The Outlander PHEV's twin technologically advanced electric drive motors are mounted on the front and rear axles. They work together to create a more focussed drive power and allow the vehicle to travel at speeds of up to 135km/h in pure EV mode. It also provides a smoother drive thanks to the absence of a gearbox, there's no 'shift shock' sensation which is often associated with traditional automatic transmissions when changing gear and it's virtually silent.

Technology for all-round safety
No more wrestling the parking brake
Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) / Brake Auto Hold (BAH)
The parking brake on the centre console is easy to operate by a simple switch. Pull the switch up to apply the parking brake and push the switch down to release it. While stopping at a stoplight, Brake Auto Hold keeps the vehicle stationary even if you release your foot from the brake pedal. Pressing the accelerator releases the brakes.
